DOLPHIN SAFE
We care for Mother Nature as it is from Mother Nature that we obtain our most important raw material. We are aware of the value of our resource and also care about other species being negatively affected by tuna catches in some parts of the world. For this reason, we have made the decision that our tuna will only come from safe sources. We only buy fish from responsible boats that follow the appropriate dolphin safe measures and can guarantee through third party observers that the tuna fishing has not harmed any other species.
Our task is to be part of the companies that understand the relevance of this issue, being approved members of both the Earth Island Institute and the Interamerican Association of Tropical Tuna, commissions that watch over the sustainable exploitation of the resource. Tonnino has been awarded with European Food Safety Certifications. We can proudly say that we have been a dolphin safe company for many years and that our strategy is to continue supporting such programs in order to protect marine resources.
