Our water treatment plant is a state-of-the-art residual deposit with an investment of over $7 million dollars guaranteeing drinkable out coming water. This water treatment plant allows treating the resulting water from the tuna production process without contaminating the environment, and obtaining high-quality, potable water. Additionally, it allows the generation of biogas, a bio-combustible with high methane content, that will be used by the company to generate vapor (instead of bunker) and this way reduce the consumption of fossil combustibles. The water treatment plant not only drastically reduces the emission of highly damaging gases in terms of global warming, but also with this important project our company reiterates its corporate decision to protect nature, as it is from Mother Nature that we obtain our most important raw material.
